Modern kitchen equipment and dishwashers operate at very high temperatures and the waste water in grease traps is often over 40 degrees Celsius for extended periods. The FOGs, under these conditions, remain emulsified in the liquid and are discharged into the sewer system; causing major problems and fines for excessive effluent levels.
Tundra Trap™ is a grease trap cooling system that can either be retro fitted to an existing grease trap or a new stand alone system.
Pollutants discharged to the sewer system will drop markedly thus saving on Trade Waste fees and continue to make greater savings as councils work towards a user pay system for the effluent strength being discharged to sewer from Trade Waste.
Our products will extend grease trap evacuations from 4 weekly to 8 OR further to 12 weeks.
